Rock Canyon hires Brian Tinker as its new football coach

Rock Canyon on Thursday announced that it has hired Brian Tinker as its new football coach.
Jaguars athletic director Tom Brieske posted the news on Twitter:
We are thrilled to welcome Brian Tinker as our new head football coach! Go Jags!@jryancasey @CHSAA @coloradopreps @ColoHSFootball

Tinker was most recently the coach at Fossil Ridge in 2014 and 2015, leading the SaberCats to the playoffs both seasons before being let go in March 2016. Prior to that, Tinker coached at two different schools in Oklahoma.
He replaces Brian Lamb, who was 15-25 in four seasons at Rock Canyon.
Rock Canyon went 3-7 last season in Class 5A.
