DENVER – The Colorado High School Activities Association’s 2026 Ice Hockey State Champions were crowned on Monday at the University of Denver’s Magness Arena.
In the 4A state championship, Pine Creek broke open a tied 3-3 game with a trio of third period goals to knock off the defending champions in Steamboat Springs, and seal the program its first-ever state title in ice hockey.
In the 5A title game, Matthew Lopez recorded a hat trick as Cherry Creek came from behind to post a 5-3 victory over Poudre School District for its first hockey state title since 2015.
