AURORA - The first practice for ice hockey teams can take place today, officially marking the start of the 2025-26 winter sports season for the Colorado High School Activities Association. 

The first scrimmage for ice hockey teams can be on Saturday, and the first date for a contest is Thursday, Nov. 20. 

Practice for other winter sports can begin Monday, Nov. 17.
