Returning Champions, Unbeaten Wrestlers at the 2024 State Wrestling Tournament
The 2024 Colorado high school state wrestling tournament is this weekend at Ball Arena.
The tournament features four classifications of boys brackets, and one classification of girls brackets.
Among the 1,120 qualifiers are 38 returning champions and 17 unbeaten wrestlers.
This list includes six wrestlers aiming for their fourth state championship:
- Caleb Camp, Buena Vista (2A boys 132)
- Dale O’Blia, Mullen (3A boys 120)
- D’Mitri Garza-Alarcon, Fort Lupton (3A boys 138)
- Jackzen Rairdon, Thompson Valley (4A boys 144)
- Persaeus Gomez, Pomona (Girls 130)
- Ciara Monger, Calhan (Girls 235)
There have been 30 four-time champions in Colorado boys wrestling history. The most at one tournament was in 2020, when four four-timers were crowned.
On the girls side, Gomez and Monger are looking to become the first four-time champions since girls wrestling became a sanctioned CHSAA sport in 2020-21.
