Ryan Casey is an Assistant Commissioner for the Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA), where he leads data strategy, technology initiatives, and organizational analytics. In this role, he oversees projects related to internal systems, web development, live results, and data-driven decision-making. He works closely with CHSAA staff and member schools to improve efficiency and support statewide athletics and activities.
Casey returned to CHSAA in 2023 after serving as a partnership manager at MaxPreps, where he worked with state associations across the country. He previously spent eight years at CHSAA as Director of Digital Media from 2012 to 2021. During that time, he founded CHSAANow.com and played a key role in developing digital content, rankings, and seeding processes.
Prior to his work with CHSAA, Casey was the online prep sports editor at The Denver Post. He has also contributed to committee work within CHSAA, including involvement with the Classification and League Organization Committee (CLOC) and other advisory groups. His career has focused on leveraging technology and data to enhance the student-athlete experience. Casey remains committed to advancing innovation and supporting CHSAA’s mission across Colorado.
