Boys Soccer: Championship Matchups Set Following Wednesday’s Semifinals
AURORA – The finals for the 2024 Boys Soccer State Championships are set.
Semifinals were played Wednesday night at four sites across Colorado that determined the finalists for this weekend’s games in 2A, 3A, 4A and 5A.
Due to the Switchbacks hosting the Western Conference Finals on Saturday, changes were made to the championship schedule. The 2A and 4A finals will now be played at the Switchbacks’ Weidner Field Friday night in Colorado Springs, while the 3A and 5A championship games will be played on Saturday at DICK’S Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City. The 2A game will be at 4 p.m., while the 4A game will be at 6:30 p.m. Friday night. The 3A game will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, followed by the 5A game at 2 p.m.
On Wednesday in 5A, the lower seeds won as No. 4 Cherry Creek knocked off No. 1 Northfield 1-0 and will now play No. 3 Broomfield, a 2-1 winner over No. 2 Boulder. The final is Saturday at 2 p.m. at DICK’S Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City.
The 4A semifinals saw No. 1 Mullen defeating No. 5 Silver Creek 1-0 and moving on to face No. 3 Air Academy, which outscored No. 2 Battle Mountain 3-2. The final will be played Friday at 6:30 p.m. at Switchbacks Weidner Field in Colorado Springs.
In 3A, No. 1 Holy Family beat No. 5 Roaring Fork 3-0 and will now play No. 2 Jefferson Academy, a 2-1 winner Wednesday over No. 3 Peak to Peak. The Holy Family-Jefferson Academy final is Saturday at 11 a.m. at DICK’S Sporting Goods Park.
And in 2A, No. 2 Forge Christian beat No. No. 3 Crested Butte 3-0 and advances to play No. 4 Salida, which knocked off No. 1 Denver Christian 1-0. The 2A final is Friday at 4 p.m. at Switchbacks Weidner Field.

Soft-sided personal size bags and containers no larger than 14” x 14” x 6” are allowed into DICK’S Sporting Goods Park. Medical and diaper bags 14” x 14” x 6” or smaller are permitted.
There is no bag check available at DICK’S Sporting Goods Park. Guests will not be allowed entery with an unapproved or oversized bag.
All permitted bags are subject to search both upon entry and within the Stadium.
