AURORA – The 2023 track and field state championships are set to begin today at Jeffco Stadium, and will run through Saturday. Champions will be crowned on all three days with the team champion determined on Saturday.

The event will kick off at 8 a.m. Thursday morning and will continue throughout the morning with the boys and girls 4A and 5A classifications competing. Thursday’s afternoon session will begin at 2 p.m., and will feature boys and girls from 1A, 2A and 3A.

All five classifications will compete throughout the day on Friday and Saturday with individual champions being crowned both days. The team champions will be awarded following the finals of the 4x400m relay (scheduled for 4:25-4:41 p.m.).
