Rounding up the weekend’s cross country results

Any meet that was going to run this weekend has now done it’s thing. I won’t have a lot to say about every meet that happened this weekend, but it’s certainly time to glean what highlights we can.

Amazingly, Dave Sanders turned out to be, in many respects, a subdued event. Many of the top entries on the list of teams turned in very limited efforts. That’s to take nothing away from Mountain Vista. In fact, Vista Nation seems to be the one team that took the traditional meet script seriously.  Translated, that means the Vista Nation boys claimed six of the top 15 places, including sub-16 efforts by Tyler Downs and Benjamin Anderson. They did even better on the girls’ side, claiming seven of the top 11 places, all with sub-20 efforts and with low 18s from the sisters Adams.

Nobody was remotely close to Mountain Vista in either team standings.
