Grand Junction Central girls soccer hires Ethan Johnson as coach

Ethan Johnson will no longer prowl the sidelines of the the Grand Junction Central girls soccer sidelines as an assistant coach. Now he’ll be the top man.

The school announced today that Johnson has been named as the coach of the Warriors, replacing Jacob Pingel, who left after the conclusion of the 2015 season.

Johnson is no stranger to the Grand Junction area as he is a graduate of Colorado Mesa University. He has also been an assistant with both the boys and girls teams at Central.

The Warriors play in the combined 5A/4A Southwestern League, where Montrose came away as league champions last year.
