AURORA - The 2026 Girls Soccer State Championship games will be played at the Switchbacks' Weidner Field in Colorado Springs tomorrow and Wednesday, May 20. Due to wet weather and cold temperatures, the games times are being moved up to 3 and 6 p.m. both days. 

On Tuesday, the 3A game between Kent Denver and Colorado Academy is set for 3 p.m. and the 4A game matching Evergreen and Mullen is scheduled to start at 6 p.m.

On Wednesday, the 2A game between Buena Vista and Forge Christian kicks off at 3 p.m. and the 5A game pitting Fossil Ridge and Mountain Vista follows at 6 p.m.

Game Day Information:

• Tickets for the championship games are available only through Seat Geek. There are no cash sales on site. One ticket will be good for both games on that particular day.
• Spectators must enter through the Northeast Entrance. This is the only entry for fans. Seating will all be on the west side of the stadium behind the team benches. Overflow seating will be open on the East Side of the stadium. 
• Please note that Weidner Field has a clear bag policy and will check bags when entering the stadium. 
• For fans unable to make it to Weidner Field, all games will be streamed live through the NFHS Network. 

Mountain Vista has won five girls soccer state championships, most recently in 2024. Others came in 2005, 2011, 2013 and 2017. Last year was the only state championship in girls soccer for Fossil Ridge.

Evergreen has won the past two 4A state soccer championships and has four overall, with the others coming in 1990 and 1997. Mullen has won four girls soccer state championships, most recently in 2007. Others came in 1998, 2001 and 2002.

Kent Denver and Colorado Academy have each won seven girls soccer state championships. Kent Denver won most recently in 2022, and its others came in 1991, 2000, 2006, 2007, 2016 and 2021. Colorado Academy is going for its third straight title to follow up on championships from 1999, 2003, 2014, 2015 and 2019. The teams have combined for 13 of the 31 titles at the 3A level (Kent Denver won the 4A-1A class in 1991), and are meeting in the championship game for the third time: Kent Denver won 3-1 in 2016 and 1-0 in 2021, while Colorado Academy won 1-0 in 2003.

Buena Vista, the 2024 runner-up, is seeking its first state championship in girls soccer. Forge Christian has won three state titles, most recently in 2008.
