Top-ranked Cherry Creek (3-0-1) and No. 2 Kent Denver (2-0-1) battled to a 2-2 draw in a matchup between the state’s top two teams. Finley Katz, who leads the state in assists, helped guide Cherry Creek, while Alden Carlson, who ranks No. 4 in goals statewide, sparked Kent Denver. Following the tie, Kent Denver moved to No. 3 in the latest rankings.
Grandview 2, (7) Poudre School District 1 — Grandview (1-1-1) delivered a 2-1 upset against No. 7 Poudre School District (1-2). The narrow victory provided a major boost to Grandview’s early-season resume.
