AURORA – The matchups for the final round of the 2026 Baseball State Championships for 2A, 3A, 4A and 5A are now set, with the championship game(s) being played Saturday at four sites across the state.
While four teams are looking for its first-ever state championship in baseball, three are playing in the title game for the first time. In 4A, there will be a first-time champion as neither No. 3 Falcon nor No. 5 Pueblo County have ever won a state championship in baseball. This also marks the first time Falcon will be playing in the title game, while D’Evelyn (3A) and Monte Vista (2A) are making their first appearance in the championship game, as well.
Of the four teams that advanced to the championship game through the consolation bracket – No. 1 Arvada West (5A), No. 3 Falcon (4A), No. 6 D’Evelyn (3A) and No. 2 Monte Vista (2A) – three will see itself in a rematch with its semifinal round opponent; No. 1 Arvada West vs. No. 3 Regis Jesuit in 5A, No. 3 Falcon vs. No. 5 Pueblo County in 4A and No. 2 Monte Vista vs. No. 1 Forge Christian in 2A. In 3A, No. 6 D’Evelyn cruised through the consolation bracket, earning a win over No. 4 The Classical Academy, 7-6, before avenging its earlier loss to No. 2 Eaton in the second round. This time, D’Evelyn knocked off Eaton with a 12-7 victory to advance to its first title game. This will be the first meeting between University and D’Evelyn this postseason.
Teams that have yet to lose in the tournament would need just one win Saturday to claim the championship. Those teams are No. 3 Regis Jesuit in 5A, No. 5 Pueblo County in 4A, No. 1 University in 3A and No. 1 Forge Christian in 2A.

5A Championship Teams
- No. 1 Arvada West will need to win two games to claim its second-ever baseball state title, and first since 1994.
- No. 3 Regis Jesuit, runner-up to Cherry Creek each of the last two years, is one win away from its first state title since 2019. The Raiders own three state baseball championships, winning the first in 1988 and the second in 2011.
4A Championship Teams
- No. 3 Falcon is making its first appearance in the title game and will be playing for its first baseball state championship in school history.
- No. 5 Pueblo County, which is searching for its first state championship in baseball, is making its third appearance in the state title game in the last three years after finishing as runners-up in 2024.
3A Championship Teams
- No. 1 University is looking to break through after finishing as the runner-up in each of the last four state tournaments and add to its all-time total of five baseball crowns, the last of which came in 2019. The Bulldogs first won the state championship in 1982, and then followed it up with titles in 1992 and 1997 before winning back-to-back in 2018 and 2019.
- No. 6 D’Evelyn is making its first appearance in the title game and will be playing for its first baseball state championship in school history.
2A Championship Teams
- No. 1 Forge Christian, the defending state champion, has won four state baseball championships. The Fury defeated Denver Christian a year ago to capture its first title since 2016. Its first title came in 2007 – when the school was named Faith Christian – and its second in 2011.
- No. 2 Monte Vista is making its first appearance in the title game and will be playing for its first baseball state championship in school history.
