Girls Tennis: Dual Team State Champions to be Crowned Tuesday at Denver Tennis Park

AURORA – All six semifinals for the Colorado High School Activities Association’s 2026 Girls Tennis Dual Team State Championships have been played, with No. 5 Colorado Academy upsetting No. 1 Vail Christian, 4-3.
Top-seeded Ralston Valley advanced to the finals by sweeping No. 4 Rock Canyon, 7-0, in the 5A semifinals, while No. 2 Cherry Creek got past No. 3 Valor Christian, 6-1. Those teams met in the semifinals for the second straight season, and played to the same scores.
In 4A, No. 1 Cheyenne Mountain defeated No. 4 Air Academy 7-0, while No. 2 Kent Denver topped No. 3 Mullen 6-1 as the same four teams made the semifinals as a season ago, and the same two teams advaned to the final.
In 3A, No. 3 Prospect Ridge Academy held off No. 7 Holy Family 4-3, while the dual between No. 1 Vail Christian and No. 5 Colorado Academy was postponed until the night before the finals. Colorado Academy came away with the 4-3 victory.
The dual team state championships, to be played at Denver Tennis Park, are scheduled for Tuesday, May 12. The 5A Championship will begin at 8:30 a.m., followed by the 4A championship at 11:30 a.m. and the 3A title match at 2:30 p.m. An awards presentation will take place immediately at the conclusion of each classification with all teams being guaranteed a 45-minute warm-up prior to introductions.
Ralston Valley will be seeking its third-straight 5A state championship while Cheyenne Mountain (two) and Kent Denver (one) have shared the three titles in 4A since the dual-team format was implemented. Colorado Academy is playing for its second team state title and first since 2024.
All championships matches will be played on the indoor courts and will be played to clinch, so the first team to secure four positional wins will claim the title. The remaining, unfinished matches, will not be finished. All matches will be live streamed by the cameras on each of the courts:
