1A Basketball: Boys and Girls Semifinals Results




GREELEY – The semifinals of the 2026 CHSAA 1A Boys and Girls State Tournaments were played Friday at the University of Northern Colorado’s Bank of Colorado Arena.
In the first boys semifinal, Tuff Kelley had 21 points, 16 rebounds and four blocked shots as No. 1 McClave topped No. 4 Flatirons Academy 53-44. Then Corey Hill had 24 points and 20 rebounds to lead No. 3 Cheyenne Wells to a 59-31 win over No. 2 Nucla.
In the first girls semifinal, Abrielle Gomez had 18 points, 12 rebounds, four steals and three blocked shots to lead No. 1 McClave to a 49-33 win over No. 5 Fleming. Then, Rylie Berry had 21 points and nine rebounds as No. 14 Flagler reached the final with a 54-48 victory over No. 10 Springfield.
The championship games are Saturday.
The McClave boys are seeking a second straight, and fourth overall, state basketball title, while the McClave girls are going for their second straight and sixth overall.
Cheyenne Wells has won three state champoinships in boys basketball, most recently in 2024, while Flagler is going for its first state title in girls basketball and the first of any kind for the school since 1996.
