AURORA - The 2025 Colorado High School Activities Association's Girls Golf State Championships have been completed, with winning teams and individuals determined in four classes on Tuesday.
Riverdale Ridge (4A) and Holy Family (3A) won their first-ever girls golf state championships, while Valor Christian (5A) and Colorado Academy (2A) extended their traditional strong play -- Valor Christian won its fourth straight title, while Colorado Academy recorded its seventh championship (its first since 2019).
In the individual competitions, youth was served as two freshmen and two sophomores captured title. The freshman are Landry Frost of Air Academy in 4A and Sophia Lee of Colorado Academy in 2A, while the sophomore winners were Ella Scott of Valor Christian in 5A and Cheyanne Schrick of Timnath in 3A.
The four tournaments played out over two rounds of 18 holes at four different sites across the state.
