Esports: Round 2 Results for Super Smash Bros Ultimate Postseason Play

AURORA - The second round of the Esports State Championships for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has been completed. The Round of 16 matchups will be released with the Championship Bracket later this week. The entire championship bracket will be played out in-person at Localhost in Lakewood on Thursday, April 24. 

The in-person finals will begin with the Round of 16 games at 9 a.m., followed by the quarterfinals at 10:30 a.m., the semifinals at noon and the championship finals at 1:30 p.m.

Teams from Abraham Lincoln, Air Academy, Arrupe Jesuit, Aurora Central, Cherry Creek, Dayspring Christian, Douglas County, Fort Collins, Fossil Ridge, George Washington, Grandview, Highlands Ranch, Lakewood, Ponderosa, Prairie View and Rocky Mountain will advance to the in-person finals on Thursday, April 24 at Localhost in Lakewood. 

The Esports State Championships for Mario Kart will also take place at Localhost on April 24. The inaugural unified championship will be played at 10:30 a.m., while the fourth-annual Mario Kart championship will be at approximately 5 p.m.

Trophy and awards presentations will take place after each individual final.
