Flag Football: Saturday’s Championship Matchups Set After Wednesday’s Semifinals




AURORA – Championship matchups for the second annual CHSAA Flag Football State Championships are set following Wednesday’s semifinals.
No. 1 seed defending state champion Mountain Vista and No. 3 Legend in 5A, as well as No. 1 The Classical Academy and defending state champion and No. 2 Mountain View in 4A, have advanced to Saturday’s championship games, which will be played at Trailblazer Stadium in Lakewood.
Saturday’s 4A championship game will be at 4 p.m., with the 5A game to follow at 6:45.

On Wednesday in the 5A semifinals at Trailblazer, Legend defeated No. 7 Chaparral 26-14 and Mountain Vista topped No. 4 Ralston Valley, 40-19.
In Wednesday’s 4A semifinals at Jeffco Stadium, The Classical Academy got past No. 4 Green Mountain 27-24, and Mountain View edged No. 3 Pomona 13-12.
