Boys Tennis: Individual State Champions Have Been Awarded

AURORA - The individual portion of the Boys Tennis State Championships are complete, with the team portion scheduled to wrap up on Tuesday, as Kent Denver and Colorado Academy will play for the 4A title and Regis Jesuit and Cherry Creek will battle for the 5A championship. The 5A match will start at 9 a.m., followed by the 4A match at 12:15 p.m. Both matches will be played to clinch at Denver Tennis Park. 

Among the individuals on Saturday, in 4A, at Pueblo City Park, D'Evelyn came away with the #1 singles title, while Colorado Academy and Kent Denver - the two finalists for the dual team state championship - split the other six positions, winning three apiece. In 5A, at Denver Tennis Park, Regis Jesuit won six of seven lines, while Cherry Creek earned the other.
