Softball: Round of 32 Brackets to be Seeded Monday

AURORA – The 2025 state softball tournament brackets are due to be seeded and released on Monday by the CHSAA office.

The state tournament will begin with the Round of 32 games next week, Oct. 17-18, followed by the State Championship the week after, Oct. 24-25.

Teams will be seeded using the CHSAA Seeding Index. The official rankings are updated hourly with the latest RPI data, and each Monday and Thursday with MaxPreps data. (Find answers to FAQs about the Seeding Index here.)

This weekend’s games will bring the regular season to a close. A schedule of games and scores, is available on the Scoreboard and a list of where teams are currently ranked in each classification can be found on the CHSAA Seeding Index website.

The Round of 32 games will be played Oct. 17 and 18 at host sites. Each classification will have eight sites, with four teams playing at each site. Class 3A has a single-elimination setup, while classes 4A and 5A both play modified double-elimination formats.

The top-two teams at each site will qualify for the Round of 16 and beyond, which is held at Aurora Sports Park on Oct. 24-25. Teams will be reseeded prior to the Round of 16 on Oct. 20.
