4A Baseball: Golden Reaches Championship Round, Rest of Friday Field Set

COLORADO SPRINGS — The final four teams for CHSAA’s 4A State Baseball Tournament were determined after games were played on Saturday.
No. 3 Golden outlasted No. 4 Windsor 12-11 to advance unbeaten to the championship round.
Windsor, No. 5 Palisade and No. 6 Cheyenne Mountain will all advance to play Friday for the right to face Golden in the May 31 championship round. Palisade and Cheyenne Mountain won elimination games on Saturday.
Palisade plays Cheyenne Mountain on Friday at 10 a.m., with the winner moving on to face Windsor at 12:30 p.m in another elimination game — the winner moves on to the championship round.
The first scheduled championship game is May 31 at 10 a.m., and Golden would be the champion if it wins. Should Golden lose the 10 a.m. game, the teams would play again in a winner-take-all final.
