Baseball: Regional Tournament Brackets Released in 2A, 3A, 4A and 5A

AURORA — The Colorado High School Activities Association has announced the brackets for the 2A, 3A, 4A and 5A Baseball Regional Tournaments.

Brackets:

• 5A Bracket
• 4A Bracket
• 3A Bracket
• 2A Bracket

There were a couple of changes made in each bracket from the seeding data:

• In 2A, Clear Creek (31) and Sedgwick County (30) were switched to avoid a league matchup and Crowley County (22) and Front Range Christian (23) were switched to avoid a league matchup.
• In 3A, Lincoln (33) is a league champions, so it displaced Pagosa Springs (32) and Basalt (21) and Kent Denver (20) were switched.
• In 4A, Gateway is a league champion, so it displaced Dakota Ridge (32). Longmont (28) and Evergreen (29) were switched to avoid two league matchups and Silver Creek (18) and Air Academy (17) were switched.
• In 5A, Douglas County (27) and Brighton (26) were switched to avoid a league matchup. 

Each classification will have eight regionals, with each regional hosting four teams, for 32 teams in total. League champions automatically qualify for the 32-team postseason, and the remaining spots are filled by the highest seeded teams in CHSAA’s Seeding and Selection Index. From there, the remaining spots in each bracket are filled out using the final data from the CHSAA Seeding & Selection Index.

The CHSAA Seeding and Selection Index data also orders the seeding of the brackets, with the top eight seeds in each classification serving as the regional hosts.
