3A Girls Soccer: State Tournament Updates (May 10)

AURORA — The second round of the 3A girls soccer state tournament took place Saturday, with the eight winners advancing to Tuesday’s quarterfinals.

No. 11 Timath pulled off the lone upset of the day, knocking off No. 6 Manitou Springs 3-1. The closest game of the day was No. 9 Stargate School’s 1-0 win over No. 25 Holy Family.

Teams are charting a course towards the May 20 championship game, to be played at 5 p.m. at the Switchbacks Weidner Field in Colorado Springs.

The 3A semifinals are scheduled for May 15, at the North Area Athletic Complex in Arvada, with game times at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
