Winter Sports Back in Full Swing

AURORA — The 2024-25 winter sports seasons are in full swing and postseason play will be here soon.

Winter postseason competition will take place throughout the months of February and March, as the Colorado High School Activities Association will host championships in boys and girls basketball, ice hockey, boys and girls skiing, speech & debate, girls swimming & diving and boys and girls wrestling.

New this season are team championships for both Alpine and Nordic skiing for both boys and girls – in the past, one state championship winner was recognized for combined Alpine and Nordic. Also new this year is a second class of girls wrestling, with teams now competing at either 5A or 4A instead of in a one-class organization.
