AURORA -- The Colorado High School Activities Association will host its Boys and Girls Basketball Great 8 for the 5A classification at the Denver Coliseum this Friday, March 1.
Winners will advance to next week's Final Four at the Denver Coliseum. All girls and boys Great 8 games for 5A will be played on March 1, with the
6A boys and girls Great 8 games played on Thursday, Feb. 29 and the
4A boys and girls Great 8 games being played on Saturday, March 2.
The schedule for 5A boys and girls Great 8 games can be found below:
- 5A Girls - No. 3 Mead vs. No. 11 Standley Lake: Mead wins, 54-41 (will advance to face Roosevelt)
- 5A Boys - No. 1 Northfield vs. No. 8 Mead: Northfield wins, 61-52 (will advance to face Mesa Ridge)
- 5A Girls - No. 4 Northfield vs. No. 5 Windsor: Northfield wins, 66-55 (will advance to face Air Academy)
- 5A Boys - No. 3 Windsor vs. No. 6 Lewis-Palmer: Windsor wins, 74-68 (will advance to face Vista PEAK Prep)
- 5A Girls - No. 1 Air Academy vs. No. 8 Frederick: Air Academy wins, 45-39 (will advance to face Northfield)
- 5A Boys - No. 4 Mesa Ridge vs. No. 12 Dakota Ridge: Mesa Ridge wins, 68-44 (will advance to face Northfield)
- 5A Girls - No. 2 Roosevelt vs. No. 7 Montrose: Roosevelt wins, 60-45 (will advance to face Mead)
- 8:30 p.m. - 5A Boys - No. 2 Vista PEAK Prep vs. No. 7 Ponderosa: Vista PEAK Prep wins, 57-41 (will advance to face Windsor)
