Skiing: Start Lists Released for 2024 Alpine State Championships

Due to fresh snow, today’s start for the slalom races has been delayed by 30 minutes. The girls run will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by the boys at 11:15 a.m.

AURORA – The Colorado High School Activities Association’s 2024 Alpine Skiing State Championships will be held this Thursday and Friday at at Loveland Valley Ski Area in Dillon.

Start lists for the girls and boys giant slalom and slalom races can be found below with live results available on live-timing.com.

The event will kick off with the opening ceremony outside Valley Lodge on Thursday at 8:40 a.m. The girl’s first giant slalom run will begin at 10 a.m., followed by the boy’s first run at approximately 10:45 a.m. The girl’s second run will be at 12:45 p.m., followed by the boy’s second run at 1:30 p.m.

Spectators can walk up to the finish, which is located right next to the base of Chair 3. No lift ticket is needed for this viewing area. However, there is no hiking allowed up along the race venue. Any viewing higher on the race venue requires a lift ticket, riding Chair 3 and proper skiing/riding equipment on your feet. Chair 3 tickets are available for $50. All mountain tickets (including Loveland Basin) at $90.

Friday’s event will feature the girls and boys slalom runs. The girls first run will be at 10 a.m., followed by the boys at 10:45 a.m. The second run will be at 12:45 p.m., followed by the boys second run at 1:30 p.m.

Spectators can NOT hike up to the finish line for slalom this year, it is NOT allowed. To watch the race from the finish, you must have a pass for the day. Chair 3 ony tickets are available for $50. All mountain tickets (including Loveland Basin are $90.

Awards will follow the completion of races on both days near the bottom of lift 3.
