Football: Playoff Updates (Nov. 11)

AURORA – The first weekend of the 2024 Colorado High School Activities Association Football playoffs is almost complete. Due to weather, most games were moved off of Friday and Saturday and played Sunday and Monday. 

The quarterfinal round of the 2A bracket is the only one that’s set heading into next weekend. Each of the other brackets still have games that need to be completed Monday. 

Playoff Hosting Policies and Procedures:

• For 5A, 4A, 3A and 8-Man, teh higher seed hosts until the finals
• For 2A and 6-Man, the higher seed hosts the semifinals. The second-round playoff game host shall bet he team which has had the fewer home games during the state playoffs. If both teams have had an equal number of home games, the team wtih the higher designation will host that game. 
• For 1A, the higher seed hosts round one and the home team at each subsequent playoff game shall be that team which had had the fewer home games during the state playoffs. If both teams have had an equal number of home games, the team with the higher deignation will host that game. 

Note: CHSAA does not set the game dates and/or start times. All game times and dates are a mutual agreement between the two schools participating.
