AURORA - The semifinal round of the Colorado High School Activities Association's 2023 5A Boys Soccer State Championship Tournament was completed Tuesday night at University of Denver Soccer Stadium.
The No. 4 seed Denver East Angels got the night started by winning a thrilling shootout against the No. 9 seed Regis Jesuit Raiders. Following a 0-0 tie through regulation and overtime, the Angels outscored the Raiders 5-3 in the shootout to punch their ticket to the title game.
Their opponent for the State Championship Game will be No. 7 seed Broomfield. Broomfield secured their spot in the finals by defeating No. 14 seed Cherokee Trail 2-1, thanks to an early goal in the second overtime.
The winners have advanced to the State Championship Game, which will be played on Nov. 11 at Switchbacks Weidner Field in Colorado Springs. State Championship tickets for the finals can be
