AURORA - The second round of the Colorado High School Activities Association's 2023 5A Boys Soccer State Championship Tournament was completed Tuesday night. The winners will advance to the quarterfinals, with matches being played at Englewood High School on Nov. 4. Start times for all games can be found on
the bracket and quarterfinals tickets will be
available for sale on GoFan.
No. 16 Liberty and No. 9 seed Regis Jesuit will meet in the quarterfinals. Regis Jesuit advanced by defeating No. 8 seed Cherry Creek, 1-0, while Liberty pushed past No. 32 Lakewood.
No. 5 seed Arapahoe will face No. 4 seed Denver East in Englewood, after Arapahoe beat No. 12 seed Fairview, 2-1, and Denver East beat No. 13 seed Aurora Central, 2-0.
On the other half of the bracket, No. 14 seed Cherokee Trail upset No. 3 Rampart, 2-1, while No. 11 Legend got past No. 27 ThunderRidge, 2-0. Legend and Cherokee Trail will meet up in the quarterfinals at Englewood High School.
No. 7 seed Broomfield advanced to the second round by defeating No. No. 10 seed Fossil Ridge, 2-1, in overtime. Broomfield will play No. 2 seed Ralston Valley in the quarterfinals, after they beat No. 15 seed Boulder, 2-1, in overtime of their second-round matchup.
Following Nov. 4’s quarterfinals matches will be the semifinals. The semifinals will be played on Nov. 8 at the University of Denver Soccer Stadium. The State Championship Game will then be played on Nov. 11, at Switchbacks Weidner Field in Colorado Springs. State Championship tickets for the finals can be
