Chatfield hires Erik Buehler to be its boys basketball coach

Chatfield has hired Erik Buehler to become just the third boys basketball coach in school history.

Chargers athletic director Craig Auckland announced the hire on Friday morning.

In a tweet, Buehler said that “being a head coach has been a dream of mine since high school.”

“Proof dreams do come true,” he added. “I’m excited to get to work! So let’s get it!”

Buehler had been an assistant at Chatfield, and has also previously spent time as the interim head coach at Golden.

Chatfield, a Class 5A program, finished last season at 7-17.
