Girls Volleyball roundup: ThunderRidge tops Class 4A No. 1 Summit

Saturday’s girls volleyball action saw top-ranked squads tested in tournament action across the state. Several ranked teams earned key non-league victories as state rankings continued to shift.

ThunderRidge 2, 4A No. 1 Summit 0 (25-17, 25-22)

ThunderRidge (8-2) secured a straight-sets win over Class 4A No. 1 Summit (6-1) at the Overland Tournament. The victory handed Summit its first loss of the season. Following the result, Summit dropped to No. 6 in Class 4A.

Cherry Creek 3, (2) Chaparral 0 (26-24, 25-23, 25-17) — Unranked Cherry Creek (5-2) delivered a straight-sets sweep over Class 5A No. 2 Chaparral.
