4A Boys Lacrosse: First Round Completed, Second Round Coming Up

AURORA – All but one of the first round 2026 boys lacrosse state tournament games were able to be completed prior to inclement weather hitting Colorado on Tuesday. No. 11 Holy Family vs. No. 22 Conifer was postponed and played Thursday, with Holy Family winning 14-6.
No. 16 Middle Park, No. 18 Mullen and No. 19 Dakota Ridge provided the highlights of the round, as Mullen scored in the final minute of overtime to sneak past No. 15 Glenwood Springs, 6-5, while Dakota Ridge upset No. 14 Fruita Monument, 9-8, to advance to the second round. Meanwhile, No. 16 Middle Park held on for a 16-15 win over No. 17 Green Mountain.
Other first-round scores include No. 9 Cheyenne Mountain cruising past No. 24 Denver North, 20-2, and No. 10 Prairie View posting a 19-2 win over No. 23 Pueblo West. No. 12 Golden used a 9-4 win over No. 21 Smoky Hill to move on, while No. 13 Ponderosa defeated No. 20 Crested Butte 10-2.
Second-round matchups will feature No. 1 Air Academy hosting No. 16 Middle Park, while No. 2 Evergreen will face No. 18 Mullen. No. 3 Grand Junction will welcome No. 19 Dakota Ridge, with No. 4 Aspen hosting No. 13 Ponderosa. No. 5 Lutheran will meet up with No. 12 Golden, whereas No. 6 Telluride will host the winner of the No. 11 Holy Family vs. No. 22 Conifer first-round game. No. 7 Battle Mountain will take on No. 10 Prairie View, with No. 8 Steamboat Springs hosting No. 9 Cheyenne Mountain.
