AURORA -- Eight teams have emerged from the first round of the CHSAA 2A State Football Playoffs and will advance to the quarterfinals.

The top seven seeds all advanced, and No. 9 Eaton defeated No. 8 La Junta to fill out the elite eight.

Quarterfinal games will be played between Thursday and Saturday, Nov. 15, with dates and times to be determined.

The state championship for 2A will be played at the CSU Thunderbowl in Pueblo on Nov. 29, with kickoff at 5 p.m.
