AURORA -- CHSAA's 5A State Football Playoffs field has been trimmed to four following Saturday's quarterfinals.

The top three seeds, as well as No. 5 Valor Christian, have advanced to the semifinals. Valor Christian outlasted No. 4 Legend, 31-30 in the closest game of the day.

The 5A state championship game will be played Saturday, Dec. 6 at Canvas Stadium in Fort Collins. It will be the third championship game of the day, following the 3A game at 10 a.m. and the 4A game at 1:30 p.m.
