4A Girls Lacrosse: Semifinals Set for Wednesday Night

AURORA — The semifinals of the 4A girls lacrosse state tournament are set following Saturday’s quarterfinals.
Defending state champion and No. 1 seed Evergreen defeated No. 8 Aspen 18-9 and will face No. 4 Mead — a 13-7 winner over No. 5 Golden — in the semifinals in a rematch of last year’s title game. The other semifinal is mountain against mountain — No. 2 Green Mountain against No. 3 Battle Mountain — after both posted Saturday victories. Green Mountain beat No. 7 Roaring Fork 20-7, while Battle Mountain bested No. 6 Steamboat Springs 19-7.
The semifinals are Wednesday, at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m., respectively, at Englewood High School’s Randy Penn Stadium. All semifinal games will be streamed live on the NFHS Network.
Tickets can be purchased through GoFan. No cash sales will be made on site.
Teams are charting a course towards the May 16 championship game, to be played at 5 p.m. at the University of Denver’s Peter Barton Stadium.
