Esports: Round 2 for Mario Kart Postseason Set for Monday Afternoon

AURORA – The first round of the Esports State Championships for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has been completed, with the second-round matchups set for Monday afternoon at 4 p.m.
Round 2 winners will advance to quarterfinal round, which will be played at home sites. The four winners of the quarterfinal round will advance to the in-person final site – Localhost in Lakewood – on Thursday, April 24, to begin their quest for the state title. The in-person finals will begin with the semifinal games at 2 p.m., followed by the finals at 5 p.m.
The Esports State Championships for Unified Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will also take place at Localhost on April 24. The inaugural unified championship will be played at 10:30 a.m., while the fourth-annual Super Smash Bros. Ultimate championship will be at approximately 1:30 p.m.
Trophy and award presentations will take place immediately after each final.
