AURORA - The quarterfinal round of the 2024 2A Football playoffs are in the books and the semifinal round matchups are set. 

Wins by No. 9 Wellington and No. 13 Eaton on Saturday ensured that there will be at least one surprise team in the championship game. Wellington knocked off No. 1 Strasburg 17-0, and Eaton defeated No. 5 Lamar 14-0, setting up a Wellington-Eaton semifinal. No. 2 Basalt, a 34-14 winner over No. 10 Sterling, and No. 3 The Classical Academy, which beat No. 6 Berthoud 20-17, were able to avoid upsets and advanced to the other semifinal.
