AURORA - With the first contest of the 2023 gymnastics season today, check out CHSAA's top-10 rankings for each classification. The state championship will be held Thursday through Saturday, Nov. 2-4 at Thornton High School in Thornton.

5A Gymnastics
After winning the 2021 Class 5A Gymnastics State Championship and graduating a wealth of talent, Broomfield reloaded and surprisingly found itself atop the podium again a year ago. With a trio of all-state performers returning, Broomfield looks to be the favorite again this year, although Mountain Range is close behind with a pair of experienced first-team all-state performers leading the way.

4A Gymnastics
Could this be the year that a new champion is crowned in Class 4A gymnastics? Elizabeth, winners of the last four-straight state titles, graduated a four-time and pair of three-time first-team all-state performers in Bethany Breikss, Sydney Kissinger and Madison Montoya. While Elizabeth will be looking to reload, Palmer Ridge, Niwot and Evergreen – all scoring within one point of each other at least year’s state meet and returning the bulk of their rosters – will be looking to battle it out for that top spot. The 2023 Gymnastics State Championships will take place on November 2-4 at Thornton High School.
