Saturday Results
No. 12 seed Loveland got CHSAA's 4A Football Playoffs started by hosting No. 21 Bear Creek. Loveland won the game 41-21 and will travel to face No. 5 seed Mesa Ridge in the second round.
The other game in the early slot featured No. 18 Grand Junction Central and No. 15 Rampart. Rampart defended home turf and cruised to a 48-6 victory to punch their ticket to the second round. In the second round, the Rams will travel to Erie to play the No. 2 seed Erie Tigers.
The final game of the day was a battle between the No. 11 seed Windsor Wizards and the No. 22 seed Centaurus Warriors, where the Wizards earned a 48-0 shutout victory to propel themselves into the second round. There, they'll face No. 6 seed Ponderosa at EchoPark in Parker.
Friday Results
Friday's 4A Football Playoffs action got started in Grand Junction and in Pueblo, as No. 13 seed Fruita Monument hosted No. 20 seed Falcon and No. 19 seed Longmont traveled to play No. 14 seed Pueblo West. Fruita coasted to a 50-12 victory over Falcon and will travel to Broomfield to play the No. 4 seed Eagles in the second round. Meanwhile, Pueblo West won a thrilling shootout against Longmont, 55-42 and will face No. 3 seed Montrose in the second round.
The two late games on Friday were a matchup between No. 17 seed Denver South and No. 16 Vista Ridge at Vista Ridge High School in Colorado Springs and another between No. 24 Monarch and No. 9 Golden at the NAAC Stadium in Arvada. Denver South squeaked by Vista Ridge 27-26 to secure the upset, while Golden defeated Monarch 48-7.
Thursday Results
The first week of the CHSAA's 4A Football Playoffs got started Thursday Night at DPS All-City Stadium, as No. 23 seed Standley Lake traveled to face No. 10 seed Thomas Jefferson. The Spartans scored three touchdowns and went 2-for-3 on two-point conversions to defeat the Gators 22-14.
In the next round, Thomas Jefferson will match up with No. 7 seed Dakota Ridge.
