Football Playoff Brackets Unveiled for State Championships

AURORA – The Colorado High School Activities Association has announced the playoff brackets for the 6-man, 8-man, 1A, 2A, 4A and 5A Football State Championships. The 3A bracket will be unveiled next Sunday.

• Cherry Creek earned the No. 1 seed in the 5A bracket after going 10-0 in the regular season.
• Palmer Ridge received the No. 1 seed in the 4A bracket, thanks to a 10-0 record.
• Delta earned the No. 1 seed in the 2A bracket, with a 9-0 regular season record.
• Limon received the No. 1 seed in the 1A bracket, thanks to a 9-0 regular season record.
• Mancos will be the No. 1 seed in the 8-man bracket, with an 8-1 regular season record.
• Stratton earned the No. 1 seed in the 6-man bracket, with a 9-0 regular season record.

The 4A and 5A tournaments will be 24-team single-elimination bracket, while every other classification will have a 16-team single-elimination bracket for their tournaments.

The 6-man and 8-man championship games will be played at CSU-Pueblo’s ThunderBowl Stadium on Friday, Nov. 24, with the 1A and 2A games taking place the next day, Saturday, Nov. 25. The 3A championship game will be the following weekend, Saturday, Dec. 2.

The 4A and 5A championship games will both be held on Saturday, Dec. 2 at CSU’s Canvas Stadium.
