STATE WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIPS – MEDIA ADVISORY
The Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA) will host its Wrestling State Championships at Ball Arena on Thursday through Saturday, Feb. 15-17. Due to the high number of media at this event and the protocols at Ball Arena, CHSAA will utilize the following procedures and require an RSVP to attend the event. The RSVP process will allow eligible media members to reserve seating on press row and/or request a parking pass.
The deadline to RSVP is Tuesday, Feb. 13. Please RSVP by filling out this form.
MEDIA SEATING RESERVATIONS
The deadline to RSVP and request seating on press row is Tuesday, Feb. 13. Please complete this form to reserve seating (same as the RSVP form). Each outlet will be granted one seat on press row due to demand. Those outlets covering three or more classifications will be accommodated with additional seats (when possible). Overflow media seating will be available on Avs’ Press row. There will also be a work room available for all media during the championship.
All media seating will be done at the discretion of the CHSAA media personnel on-site.
When making your reservation, please indicate which classifications you will be covering and on which days. You will not be guaranteed a seat unless this information is received.
Media persons must check in on site to receive their floor pass.
Entering the Facility
To check in and to enter the facility, all media must use the Main Grand Entrance on the Ball Arena west side (entrance by the team shop and large escalators).
The Ball Arena security and screening process will be in place. You will have bags searched and will need to go through scanners.
Once inside:
- Your annual CHSAA Pass will allow you entry into Ball Arena. After entry, each credentialed media member will need to check-in at the head table to receive a wristband and additional pass that grants floor access. Both the wristband and the floor pass must be visible at all times while on the floor. Additional wristbands will not be handed out, so don’t lose or remove them.
- Please remain on the perimeter of the mats and do NOT cross the mats at any time. You must walk around them so as not to disrupt the meet.
- When watching a mat, you must be seated or kneeling to assist with the patrons’ sight lines behind you.
- Earliest allowable check-in times for media are as follows:
- Thursday – 10 a.m.
- Friday – 7 a.m.
- Saturday – 8 a.m.
If you do not have a CHSAA-issued Annual Pass or Provisional Pass, you will not be allowed into the arena as a media person. You may purchase a ticket, but you will not be allowed onto the floor area.
