The official CHSAA Selection & Seeding Index is calculated by averaging each team's rating in the CHSAA RPI and the MaxPreps Rankings. These ratings are normalized within their classification, then combined and averaged.
Answers to frequently asked questions about the Seeding Index, including an explanation of how the normalization is calculated, can be found on the Seeding Index FAQ page.
In order to qualify for the CHSAA Postseason Seeding Index, teams must meet a minimum number of games played. Games played minimums are determined by MaxPreps and vary by sport and time of the season.
MaxPreps Rankings are updated Monday and Thursday. The CHSAA RPI is updated hourly.
More detailed data on each ranking system is available on their pages:
Note: This page only shows live data, and will no longer show data once a regular season ends. Teams must have played a minimum of two games to appear in these rankings.
