AURORA - The top-eight seeds prevailed through the first round of the 5A Girls Lacrosse State Championship with the quarterfinal round now set. 

The elite eight games are scheduled to be played Saturday at home sites. 

With no upsets in the first round, No. 1 Valor Christian advances with a 19-5 win over No. 16 Chatfield. No. 2 Regis Jesuit used a 23-6 win over No. 15 Columbine to move on, while No. 3 Heritage knocked off No. 14 Poudre School District, 19-6. No. 4 Fairview earned an 18-5 win over No. 13 Denver East and will next face No. 5 Colorado Academy, which defeated No. 12 Ralston Valley, 22-3. No. 6 Kent Denver got past No. 11 Pine Creek, 16-4, as No. 7 Arapahoe defeated No. 10 ThunderRidge, 18-8, and No. 8 Rock Canyon beat No. 9 Cherry Creek, 11-8. 

In addition to the Fairview-Colorado Academy quarterfinal game, Valor Christian will host Rock Canyon, while Regis Jesuit will take on Arapahoe and Heritage will host Kent Denver. 

The semifinals will then be played at Englewood High School on Tuesday, May 12 with the championship game set for Friday, May 15 at the University of Denver's Peter Barton Stadium.
