AURORA - The field for the second round of the 2026 4A Girls Soccer State Championships has been set after first-round games were played Thursday.

The second round is scheduled to be played Saturday.

Among the top games were No. 19 Riverdale Ridge's 2-1 win over No. 14 Battle Mountain, No. 15 Montrose beating No. 18 Centaurus 3-2, and No. 17 Mead defeating No. 16 Thompson Valley in penalty kicks.

Winners in the first round included the top two seeds -- No. 1 Ralston Valley and No. 2 Fossil Ridge -- and the opening round has seen no upsets thus far.

Top games saw No. 13 Valor Christian advance on penalty kicks against No. 20 Denver South, and No. 4 Pine Creek defeating No. 29 Heritage 2-1.

Second round games will be played on Friday, May 8 and will be hosted by the higher-seeded team.
