LAKEWOOD - All three of the spring Esports State Championships were awarded Thursday at Localhost. The day started with the second-annual Unified Esports State Championship being awarded in Mario Kart, followed by the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe champions being crowned.
Smoky Hill won the Unified esports title for a second-straight year, defeating Grand River Academy, while George Washington also repeated in Super Smash Bros., knocking off the previously undefeated and top-seeded Air Academy. The Mario Kart finals featured a pair of first-time finalists, with ThunderRidge defeating Legend.
