Susan Jones Honored as March's Brewed for Impact Award Winner

AURORA - CHSAA Commissioner Mike Krueger announced on the March edition of Coffee with the Commish that Susan Jones is the March winner of the Brewed for Impact with Circle K award.

Jones is the Athletic Director and Secondary PE Teacher at STEM Highlands Ranch.

“Susan Jones is an outstanding example of what purposeful leadership looks like in educationally based athletics and activities," said CHSAA Commissioner Mike Krueger. "The work she is doing at STEM Highlands Ranch reflects a clear commitment to building strong programs that prioritize both student growth and meaningful participation. She leads with intention, holds high standards, and consistently creates opportunities for students to succeed on and off the field. Just as importantly, Susan serves as a powerful role model for young women who are considering paths in coaching or athletic administration. Her leadership, presence, and willingness to invest in others continue to open doors and set a strong example. Her support of CHSAA’s Women in Leadership initiative speaks to her commitment to growing the next generation of leaders. We are grateful for the impact she is making and proud to recognize her as this month’s Brewed for Impact award winner.”

New for the 2025-26 school year and in partnership with Circle K, CHSAA is recognizing school administrators with a Brewed for Impact Award. This award honors those who lead with purpose, consistency and heart - pouring into others while championing educationally based athletics and activities. This monthly recognition is part of Coffee with the Commish and recognizes leadership that goes beyond wins and losses and focuses on building stronger schools and stronger communities through the values of educationally based programs.

Each month, one award winner will receive a certificate from CHSAA Commissioner Mike Krueger and a coffee mug from Circle K for embodying the mission of CHSAA and making a meaningful difference in their schools and communities.

The first award winner was announced on September 24, 2025. The next winner will be announced on April 15 at Coffee with the Commish.
