Championship Weekend Schedule for Boys, Girls Basketball

AURORA - State champions will be determined in all six classifications of boys and girls basketball this Saturday at four different venues across the state. The 1A, 2A, 3A and 4A tournaments will begin with the quarterfinal round - also known as the Great 8 - while the 5A and 6A Great 8 games were played this past Friday and Saturday, leaving only the final four teams in each of those two classifications. 

All times are subject to change.
 

1A Tournament

The 1A tournament will begin with the Great 8 on Thursday at University of Colorado's Bank of Colorado Arena. The semifinals and consolation semifinals will be played on Friday, with the consolation finals, third place games and championship games being played on Saturday. The girls championship game is scheduled for 5 p.m., followed by the boys championship game at 6:30 p.m.

The 2A tournament will begin with the Great 8 on Thursday at Colorado State University's Moby Arena. The semifinals and consolation semifinals will be played on Friday, with the consolation finals, third place games and championship games being played on Saturday. The girls championship game is scheduled for 5 p.m., followed by the boys championship game at 6:30 p.m.

Note: Thursday's final five games at CSU have been moved to Longmont and Frederick High Schools

The 1A tournament will be played at UNC's Bank of Colorado Arena and the 2A tournament will be at CSU's Moby Arena.

The 3A tournament will be played at DU's Magness Arena.

The 4A, 5A and 6A tournaments will all be intertwined at the Denver Coliseum with all six championship games being played on Saturday. The 4A games will be first, followed by the 6A championships and then the 5A games, with girls playing first and then boys.
