AURORA – State champions will be determined in all six classifications of boys and girls basketball this Saturday at four different venues across the state. The 1A, 2A, 3A and 4A tournaments will begin with the quarterfinal round – also known as the Great 8 – while the 5A and 6A Great 8 games were played this past Friday and Saturday, leaving only the final four teams in each of those two classifications.
All times are subject to change.
1A Tournament
The 1A tournament will begin with the Great 8 on Thursday at University of Colorado’s Bank of Colorado Arena. The semifinals and consolation semifinals will be played on Friday, with the consolation finals, third place games and championship games being played on Saturday. The girls championship game is scheduled for 5 p.m., followed by the boys championship game at 6:30 p.m.
