AURORA - The Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA), in partnership with the CU-Boulder Center for Leadership, is excited to invite member schools to participate in the "Developing Leadership Through Sport" Symposium. This symposium is an opportunity to align athletic leadership mission with practical strategies, research-based insights and statewide collaboration. Student-athletes will leave with tangible tools they can implement immediately within their teams and school communities.
The event will be held on Tuesday, April 14 at the Williams Village Center's Multipurpose Room on the campus of CU Boulder. The cost is $175 per school and will cover breakfast, lunch, campus parking and more. The day will begin at 7:30 a.m., and end around 2:15 p.m.
This one-day conference is designed to strengthen leadership development within your athletic programs. Schools are encouraged to bring up to four student-athletes and one coach, ideally selecting next year’s team captains rather than graduating seniors.
Attendees will hear from top college coaches, CU-Boulder student-athletes presenting their leadership research, and CHSAA staff who will help align your sports leadership mission. Additionally, high school teams that have successfully integrated leadership training into their practice plans will share their best practices.
Please note: Registration will close once capacity is reached. We anticipate strong interest, so we encourage you to secure your spots early.
