Women in Leadership Agenda Released for Thursday

AURORA – The Colorado High School Activities Association has released the agenda for the fourth-annual Women in Leadership Conference set for Thursday at Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre.
This event is designed to build a supportive and encouraging community of women in education-based activities and athletics across the state. All school personnel, coaches, sponsors, directors, officials, or anyone who wants to be empowered to take the plunge and embrace leadership opportunities in any and all forms are welcome.
Attendees will have the opportunity to start the morning with a beautiful hike, a breathy run up the stairs and/or a peaceful yoga/meditation opportunity. Yoga is optional and will be a guided Yoga on the Rocks, located in the large outdoor amphitheatre from 7:30-8 a.m.
Check in will open at 7:30 a.m. with the conference beginning at 8:30 a.m. and running through the conclusion of the final breakout session (approximately 2:30 p.m.). Dr. Lauren Young, the keynote speaker, will be selling signed copies of her book, Lead Anyway, on site for $32 (cash or Venmo will be accepted).
To make the most of the day, attendees are asked to please:
- Dress casually and in layers.
- Wear comfortable walking shoes.
- Bring a blanket or a yoga mat to sit on.
- Carry an umbrella if needed for sun or rain.
Both breakfast and lunch will be provided throughout the day.
Attendees are asked to please park in the Upper North Parking Lot and proceed to check in at the Upper Plaza near the Visitor Center.
In addition, similar for guests attending a concert at Red Rocks, there will be walking, stairs and altitude at play. If you need accommodations, please reach out to CHSAA no later than Monday, Aug. 31 to make arrangements.
