All-School Summit Kicks Off 2026-27 School Year

AURORA – The Colorado High School Activities Association kicked off the 2026-27 school year by hosting its annual All-School Summit this past Sunday through Tuesday at the Douglas County Legacy Campus.

Throughout the three days, CHSAA not only hosted its general All-School Summit, but also an Activities Directors Meeting, a New Athletic Directors Meeting, a Student Ambassadors Meeting and a Sports Medicine Symposium.

The All-School Summit breakout sessions focused on Transfer Students and Parents, the Importance of an Amazing PA Announcer, NIL and High School Impact, Student Data Privacy, AI and The Importance of Regulation, Sportsmanship and De-Escalation Techniques, Shot Clock Operator Training, Mental Health Training, RefReps, while the general session also included a Transfer Waiver Session.

The Activities Directors Meeting feature a workshop that focused on understanding CHSAA bylaws and Colorado Revised Statutes, in addition to discussions around equal access, why clubs and activities are important, preparing sponsors to host school events and recognition/promotion of clubs and activities, copyright compliance, sportsmanship, emergency action plans, student leadership, engaging unified students and more.

During Monday’s Sports Medicine Symposium, CHSAA Associate Commissioner Jenn Roberts-Uhlig was presented with her CATA President’s Award by the Colorado Athletic Trainers Association. Speakers also shared information on topics such as Sportsmetrics, injuries that can’t wait, Flow State Brain Training, non-emergent assessment of the cervical spine, and practical mental health conversations.

In conjunction with the All-School Summit, CHSAA Ambassadors gathered for their first meeting of the 2026–2027 school year. Throughout the two days, the students worked with former CHSAA State Representative Brakelle Westphal to strengthen their leadership skills through interactive breakout sessions, collaborative planning for the year ahead, and goal setting. CHSAA Ambassadors are student leaders across the state working to deepen their understanding of the Association’s mission, programs, and opportunities to serve as leaders across Colorado.

The All-School Summit ended with the fourth-annual Foundation Golf Tournament.
