Three Former CHSAA Standouts Selected in 2025 MLB Draft

AURORA – The 20-round Major League Baseball Draft has concluded and three of the players selected played for Colorado High School Activities Association member schools while in high school. All three played collegiately out of state at the Division I level.
 
Christian Foutch of Chatfield was selected in the fifth round, Dallas Macias of Regis Jesuit went in the 15th round, and Easton Marks of Arapahoe was selected by the Colorado Rockies in the 19th round.
 
Foutch, who pitched for the Arkansas team that reached the College World Series, was selected by the Boston Red Sox with the 148th overall selection. This past season he made 21 appearances for the Razorbacks and was 1-0 with four saves and a 4.09 ERA while striking out 31 in 22 innings and holding opponents to a .182 batting average. He is the 16th player from Chatfield selected in the MLB draft.
 
Macias, who played for another College World Series qualifier in Oregon State, was taken at No. 457 by the Atlanta Braves. Macias had his career-best season in 2024, earning All-Pacific 12 Conference honorable mention after batting .315 with eight homers and 41 RBIs. He is Regis Jesuit’s 31st all-time draft pick, trailing only Cherry Creek (53) among Colorado high schools.
 
Marks, who played at Florida International, was selected by the Rockies with the 557th pick. In 2025 he was the starting pitcher in all 14 of his appearances, compiling a record of 3-3 with a 3.49 ERA while striking out 72 in 67 innings and holding foes to a .232 average. He is Arapahoe’s 13th draft pick.
 
Led by Regis Jesuit alum and National League All-Star David Peterson of the New York Mets, there are currently 12 former CHSAA players on Major League rosters.
